Welcome to a place where the spirit of northern Lapland meets the Japanese Alps. Located at an altitude of 900 metres in the heart of Gifu Prefecture, Hirugano Lapland is a small resort village of comfortable villas inspired by the atmosphere of Santa Claus's homeland.
Cool summers, gentle springs, deep winter snow, vivid autumn colours, and pristine nature throughout the year make it an ideal place to relax in every season.
Here, guests can walk along forest trails, listen to the sound of mountain rivers, spend evenings having a barbecue on their private terrace, watch the snow fall outside the window, or simply enjoy the slower rhythm of life in the mountains.
Created for families with children, couples, small groups, and travellers with pets, Hirugano Lapland invites guests to slow down, spend meaningful time together, and create memories that feel as though they have come from the pages of a Christmas story.

Check-in is at 15:00. Park in front of your own villa, unload at the door, and let the house — 82 m² over two floors — do the rest.
The terrace doors open straight onto the plateau. Underfloor heating and a gas heater in winter, mountain air through open windows in summer — there are no fireplaces, the warmth is built in.
A full kitchen with a large refrigerator, a dining table for everyone and a private terrace with BBQ equipment available to rent. Bathrobes and children's pyjamas are prepared by size.
From 22:00 to 09:00 the village keeps quiet hours. Two bedrooms upstairs, an atrium open to the living room below, and a starry sky at 900 metres outside.
Five villas on each side of the Santa Runway await the moment the magic begins. Entering the village, you'll find Aurora leading the left row and Rudolph proudly leading the right. Just as every reindeer in Santa's team has its own name and personality, every villa has its own colour, character and story. The entire right-hand row welcomes guests travelling with dogs.
Each villa is rented whole, room only, taxes included. Five calendar categories follow the season, the day of the week, weekends, public holidays and peak travel periods.

Pet fees apply in dog-friendly villas only, up to two dogs per villa. Discounts do not apply to additional guest charges, pet fees or the heating surcharge. Children under 4 stay free of charge when sharing existing bedding and are not counted toward occupancy; if a child needs a separate bed, they count toward the maximum of 6 guests and are charged at the additional guest rate. Maximum occupancy is 6 guests per villa. While the Opening Special −20% is running, until the end of 2026, we apply a flexible cancellation policy: 100% of the booking amount is charged only for cancellations made within 1 day of check-in, and any earlier cancellation is free of charge. No refunds are issued for unused nights if the stay is shortened after check-in. Cancellations can be made through the link in your confirmation email, the form on this website, by email, or through the standard procedure of the OTA used for booking.
